– Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. has announced a new multifaceted promotional campaign touting a complete $1,000 digital sound system. The “1K System” promotion will kick off in the U.S. from April 1 and run through June 30.
The “1K” sound system includes the CDA-9847 AM/FM CD/MP3/WMA head unit, the KCA-420i interface adapter for iPod, MRP-M350 350-watt amplifier, a pair of SPS-171A 6.5-inch Type-S component speakers, a pair of SPS-170A 6.5-inch Type-S coaxial speakers and an SWS-1042D 10-inch subwoofer. With Satellite Radio Ready–capability and built-in MP3/WMA playback, the system is designed to offer a superior digital music experience and big sound, according to Alpine. (iPod and professional installation not included.)
The campaign will include a dealer ad kit that includes a customizable ad template and digital artwork files for dealers to create original layouts for ads or collateral, such as fliers, banners or in-store displays. The kit also will include point-of-purchase product display decals and two-sided, in-store display “danglers.”
Additional tactics to raise awareness of the consumer promotion and attract customers to authorized dealers include prominent placement on the Alpine home page (www.alpine-usa.com) with details about the benefits of the system, a consumer e-mail explaining the “1K System” to the Alpine database of consumers requesting news updates, and an announcement in the quarterly Alpine dealer newsletter.
“Digital connectivity to today’s popular media sources, such as iPod and satellite radio, used to require a major investment in hardware. With the ‘1K System’ we are making it easy for consumers to get a great sounding Alpine digital media system at an attractive price,” said Stephen Witt, vice president, Brand Marketing, Alpine Electronics.
