Chip Foose and Arc Audio Team Up
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA –
Legendary designer and fabricator Chip Foose, founder of Foose Design and host of the hit TV series
Overhaulin’, and Arc Audio, one of the nation’s premier car audio manufacturers, have
teamed up to produce an exciting array of cutting-edge automotive audio products. Arc
Audio’s new FD Series by Arc Audio, audio line includes amplifiers, subwoofers and
speakers that complement OEM factory and custom auto interiors and deliver the finest
sound quality and performance available on the market. The line will be available
through authorized Arc Audio dealers nationally following the Consumer Electronics
Show in January 2006.
“I wanted to create a line of high-end, custom audio products that could integrate into any
car with any color interior, whether it’s a hot rod, luxury sedan, or sport compact,” said
Chip Foose. “What we’ve come up with is a design that’s both subtle and impressive and
I think the FD Series will appeal to a wide range of enthusiasts that desire both style and
performance in their car’s audio system.”
The FD Series audio lineup incorporates the signature high-quality ethos of Chip Foose
and Foose Design and the evolutionary audio technology developed by renowned Arc
Audio electronic engineer Robert Zeff. Designed without compromise to quality or
engineering and using the finest available materials and the latest manufacturing
techniques, the sleek, duo-tone FD Series by Arc Audio delivers high-performance audio
with top-of-the-line sound quality and style.
The FD Series by Arc Audio product line includes:
• FD Series Amplifiers – The FD series amplifiers are exclusively designed by
Robert Zeff for Arc Audio featuring multi-layer circuit board designs, Sanken
output devices, microprocessor-controlled, fully-regulated power supplies,
integrated temperature controlled cooling fans and extremely high damping
factors to ensure the highest sound quality and performance.
• FD Series Subwoofer - The FD Series of Subwoofers will offered in 10” and 12”
dual voice coil configurations specified for small sealed or ported enclosures with
moderate power needs that won’t break consumers’ budgets. The FD Series
Subwoofers feature Foose-Designed automotive brushed aluminum and Hot Rod
Black aesthetics, multi-piece mesh grills with screw less cosmetic trim, all climate
friendly weather and moisture protection, Composite multi-element cone design,
Komax progressive spider, Beutel Rubber surround and multi-layer voice coil.
• FD Series Speakers – Sized up for any application, the FD series Speaker and
components line will adapt into any factory OEM speaker location as well as the
most custom-tailored of interiors. The FD Series speakers and components
feature Foose-Designed automotive brushed aluminum and Hot Rod Black
aesthetics, multi-piece mesh grills with screw less cosmetic trim, all climate
friendly weather and moisture protection, Composite multi-element cone design,
Komax progressive spiders, Beutel Surround, and multi-layer voice coils to
ensure the purest sound available while providing levels of sound equivalent to that of a rock concert.
This FD Series product line will make its official debut at the Consumer Electronics
Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the Arc Audio booth on Thursday, January
5th thru Sunday, January 8th, 2006. Chip Foose will be on hand during the four-day event
for an exclusive autograph session at the Arc Audio display from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
on Friday, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th. In addition, a number of Foosedesigned
vehicles will be on display, each one sporting Arc Audio’s new FD Series sound systems.

A sneak preview of the FD Series by Chip Foose was provided to industry professionals
at the recent Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in November, when
